If you woke up this morning hankering for predation, then we’ve got the juice. Yet we must ask ourselves: who is the predator in John McTiernan’s 1987 action classic? The alien with dreadlocks, mesh shirt and orthodontic situation? Or perhaps man, the predated, ultimately becomes the predator. That’s about as deep as you can get on Predator. If the jungle had walls, every space between them would be filled with guns, quotable lines and hypermasculinity.
