Uh-oh: trouble in paradise. When young American backpacker Richard (Leonardo DiCaprio) hears about a beautiful secret island off the coast of Thailand, he can’t help but have to get there. Unfortunately, things get a bit Lord of the Flies, what with the armed cannabis farmers and the internal rivalries among the island community that’s led by the unnerving Sal (Tilda Swinton). Based on Alex Garland’s cult novel, directed by Danny Boyle, and featuring a dope mix of rock and electronica on the soundtrack.
