The always brilliant Tom Hardy has all the fun playing Eddie Brock, an investigative journalist whose body becomes possessed by an alien symbiote: Venom. As the symbiote takes hold, Eddie is slowly transformed into a super-powered anti-hero with a black sense of humour. And he doesn’t mind it. You could call it body horror meets buddy comedy. But Brock’s corporate nemesis, Carlton Drake (Riz Ahmed), who brought the symbiote to Earth, just calls it his worst nightmare.
